This has been a year of extraordinary progress despite changing market conditions affecting our industry such as inflation, tight labor markets, and consolidation among health providers. We’ve been resilient focusing on our members, using innovation and hard work to grow our business and deliver best-in-class service. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished so far and look forward to our performance in the year ahead.

As the leading health insurer in the state, we’re committed to living our purpose, supporting communities throughout Illinois, and ensuring the health and well-being of our members.

We’ll continue to provide access to quality care, work to improve health outcomes, and find ways to enhance the member experience. Our goal is to transform standards of care and how that care is delivered for our members. It’s this member-first mindset that sets us apart, helping us maintain our leading position.

Because we understand that healthy communities are strong communities, we have extended our reach and engagement, using telehealth to address critical services such as behavioral health. We support new maternal and infant health initiatives to expand support for mothers before and after childbirth and achieve better health outcomes. Through ongoing technology investments, we’re modernizing the ways we serve our members and providers, more quickly and efficiently. And we continue to invest in our communities by opening our first bilingual customer service center in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood.

Our employees have stepped up for our members and communities throughout the state. Our employees logged more than 60,000 volunteer hours, and we’ve hosted more than 1,000 community events to promote health and wellness. More than 1,200 of our employees raised $70,000 to support the American Heart Association's Heart Walk. And I’m proud to report that we’ve distributed $3.8 million in Blue Impact℠ grants to support community-based organizations that address critical needs such as food insecurity, housing stability, mental health support services, vaccinations, and early detection screenings.

We made significant strides, and there’s still more we plan to do. You’ll learn more about our work to promote healthy living and access to quality care, and we’ll share the results of that work. I appreciate you taking time to read and watch our stories, and I hope you’ll support our work.
