Call us before calling Medicare. Because Blue Cross Medicare Advantage is your Medicare plan, you should call us with all your questions. Our customer service team will let you know if your question can be answered by Medicare. Call the customer service number listed on the back of your member ID card.

Medicare Advantage plans may offer coverage for Virtual Visits benefits provided by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois and powered by MDLIVE.
With Virtual Visits your appointment will be with an independently contracted, board-certified MDLIVE doctor for minor, non-emergency conditions by phone, mobile app or online video anytime, anywhere, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Talk to a doctor immediately or schedule an appointment at a time that works best for you.

MDLIVE® is a separate company that has contracted with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) to provide virtual visit services for members with coverage through BCBSIL. MDLIVE is solely responsible for its operations and for those of its contracted providers. Virtual Visits may not be available to all BCBSIL members.
Coverage for preventive and comprehensive dental care is available through some Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plans.
Your Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plan may include coverage for routine eye exams and provide an allowance toward frames and lenses or contact lenses.
Through our partnership with TruHearing®, Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plans provide coverage for routine hearing exams as well as discounts on hearing aids.

Medicare Advantage plans may offer a preloaded flexible spending card to help reduce your out-of-pocket expenses for covered dental, vision, and hearing services. It's the easy way to pay for healthcare expenses without having to pay cash up-front.

Your Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plan may provide coverage for over‑the‑counter (OTC) drugs and other health‑related pharmacy products. Members may select these items from a catalog and have them shipped directly to them.

24/7 Nurseline is not available to HMO members. For medical emergencies, call 911. This program is not a substitute for a doctor’s care. Talk to your doctor about any health questions or concerns.
Your Medicare Advantage Plan may include routine transportation to and from your medical appointments through our partner, LogistiCare Solutions. Be sure to check your Summary of Benefits to verify if the transportation benefit is included in your plan.
